Website Wednesday: Bi-Rite Market

This week’s selection is Bi-Rite Market in San Francisco – yes, another somewhat ‘local’ selection.

Bi-Rite Market is actually a grocery store in San Francisco, but they have also since expanded online to include two book offerings, ’Bi-Rite Market’s Eat Good Food’ and ‘Sweet Cream and Sugar Cones.’ I own the former and let me tell you, it’s fabulous!

Very detailed and offers great insight into food purchase decisions.

They really want you to think about what you’re eating.

Other features on the site include recipes, catering menus, urban gardening and wine classes, and beer labs. Yes, it helps if you live in the Bay Area, but it’s great that people like me can feel involved.

I especially enjoy the holiday turkey preparation guide. Easy, simple to understand. And in 2 printable PDF guides.

Bi-Rite always seems to have something happening, whether be it Easter, Mother’s Day, Valentine’s Day or Super Bowl menus. New holiday? New holiday menu!

Best of all the site doesn’t talk down to you – which is perfect for beginners.
